The Seat Occupancy sensor is a push-button sensor that is magnetically operated and can be mounted using a clip. This system enables the passenger safety system to detect the presence of a person or object on a seat.

The front passenger sensing system integrates sensors into the front passenger seat and seatbelt. These sensors are designed to detect whether there is a properly seated occupant and determine whether the front passenger frontal airbag should be enabled.

Replace a faulty seat occupancy sensor with a new one as soon as possible to ensure that safety devices for the airbag system work properly.
